| Vocational Competency Achievement Tracking System (VoCATS)
The Vocational Competency Achievement Tracking System (VoCATS) helps LEAs plan, implement, and evaluate workforce development instruction. This system provides current status of student performance and provides documentation for course competency mastery and gains. Macon County Schools involved in the VoCATS testing process include Franklin High School (grades 9-12), Highlands School (grades 6-12), Macon Middle School (grades 6-8) and Nantahala School (grades 6-12). VoCATS data should be given a criterion-referenced interpretation, i.e., comparison with the standard, not a norm-referenced comparison with the normed group. Nancy Shope is the VoCATS coordinator for Macon County Schools. For further information please contact her at 524-6467 or Nancy Shope. 2005-2006 VoCATS Results
