Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO)

A vocational student organization is an integral part of each program area's curriculum. Any student enrolled in a workforce development course is eligible for membership in the vocational student organization associated with the program.

CTSO's develop citizenship, technical, leadership, and teamwork skills essential for students who are preparing for the workforce and future education. They enhance students' civic awareness and provide opportunities for developing social competencies and a wholesome attitude about living and working. CTSO's provide a unique instructional method for attaining the competency goals and objectives identified in each course. Their activities are considered a part of the instructions when they are directly related to the competencies and objective course blueprints.
