Welcome once again to Independent Lessons.

This month's independent lesson introduces you to an excellent technology resource we have in Macon County. Atomic Learning is an online library of short, easy-to-understand software video tutorials. These videos focus on answering common questions about some of the software we have in our district. Our first lesson will be a scavenger hunt to learn about the Atomic Learning site.

I cannot post the login and the password on the Internet so... you must first go to your Media Specialist for the login information. Then you will be ready to begin!

In the months following the scavenger hunt I will assign leveled assignments incorporating Atomic Learning. There will be three levels:

Level 1--Beginning at the Basics
Level 2--Utilizing Lesson Accelerators
Level 3--Creating Lesson Accelerators for Students

For any level, you will complete the assignment and email the finished product to me for credit. Each completed lesson will be worth 0.3 CEU's. I will maintain a folder with all of the completed assignments and send your accumulated credit at the end of the year.

October Lesson: Atomic Learning Scavenger Hunt

WRESA now has several online technology course offerings for a fee of $35. Check out the offerings if you are in need of CEU's. WRESA
